Chasing hammers are good for striking chasing tools, letter punches, center punches, and other small striking tools, and can also be used to shape sheet metal or wire. The steel head has a flat face and an angled "German style" domed face for repousse. The handle is calibrated and shaped specifically for precision chasing. The head is mounted on a hardwood handle. Hammer measures 11x2.25x1" (27.9x5.7x2.5 cm). Flat face measures 1" (2.5cm) diameter. Domed face measures 0.5" (1.3 cm) diameter. Head weighs 3 oz (85 g). Net weight 5.2 oz (147.4 g).
