Silver solder wire is 20 gauge (0.81mm) and cut in 1"™ (30.5 cm) pieces. Net weight is 1 dwt (1.55 g)

Flow Point: 1490 F (810 C)

Melt Point: 1370 F (743 C)

Since hard solder is at the highest melting point, we recommend using it for sizing, fabrication and bezel work. Hard solder is generally used for the first seams when beginning a project, as it is the strongest and highest melting temperature. Hard solder will also be stronger than medium or easy solder. Wire solder can be easily cut with pliers or nippers because of the fineness of its gauge.
