Silver solder wire is 20 gauge (0.81mm) and cut in 1"™ (30.5 cm) pieces. Net weight is 1 dwt (1.55 g)

Melt Point: 1330 F (721 C)

Since medium solder is at a middle ground melting point, we recommend using it for sizing and fabrication. Medium solder will also be stronger than easy or extra-easy solder. Wire solder can be easily cut with pliers or nippers because of the fineness of its gauge.
